Cosmicomics Title Sequence
Enter the Void title design
For this project, I designed and animated a title sequence for the book Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino. The book is a collection of 12 abstract stories relating to the history of the universe. Because of the abstract nature of the book, it allowed me to experiment with various concepts like the big bang theory.
In developing ideas for visuals I referenced animation and design from John Whitney as well as the iconic title sequence for Enter The Void. When picking music pairings for the titles I wanted something that was fast enough to keep the audience interested while still having enough screen time for the titles which ended up being Daily Routine by Animal Collective.
